The whole point of creating a company is to make money, and give your kids a good life. If you own a company, would you honestly say it’s “wrong” to achieve decent, but not optimal perfermance in order to give your kids an easy life.

@Amnesia made a thread on generational wealth:

Nepotism is just generational wealth.

Also @MoggerGaston and @disillusioned deserve tags.

Massive downvote from me. Nepotism is basically a way to scam society by hoarding all the wealth without meritocracy. This is how Jews and Indians worm their way into every economy at the expense of everyone else. Fuck nepotists.

There is no way meritocracy exists. It would require for everyone to be born with the same genes so that nobody has any 'advantages'.

So @disillusioned do you think rich parents shouldn’t be allowed to give their children luxurious lives?

Almost no one is critical of nepotism in the context of a family owned business. Critiques of nepotism are usually reserved for people in the public sector that hire their relatives directly, or use their position to arrange for their relatives to get high paying jobs they are not qualified for with companies (or countries) that they have power over.

Who cares? Do you not believe companies should have control over who they hire?
