high blood pressure accelerates ageing & lowering it without fixing the underlying cause is good
AGE accumulation is thot to cause stiffening which raises BP with age , but intrigueingly OSKM expression can reduce blood pressure
well we know high blood pressure is bad , but is lowering blood pressure if u have healthy blood pressure going to further slow ageing ? im not sure but i speculate that probably the lower it is within the range of high functionality , less ageing since each time blood is pumped the pressure could cause a bit of damage -- maybe why a low heart rate is associated with species longevity
based on this chart , i would think that 75/50-90/60 might be ideal , but infants have higher heart rate so maybe low blood pressure is less compatible with a low heart rate ?
do we want a larger or smaller gap between systolic & diastolic ? whats best ?
i will report when my experimentation with aspirin data is collected , to see how it affects BP . aspirin thins blood & does other stuff .
Raised Blood Pressure is So Harmful that Reductions are Beneficial Even Without Addressing Underlying Causes
The raised blood pressure of hypertension causes harm throughout the body, raising mortality risk and accelerating the onset and progression of numerous forms of ultimately fatal age-related disease. It accelerates atherosclerosis, and raises the risk of a fatal rupture of blood vessels weakened...

Short Reprogramming of Vascular Endothelium Reduces Blood Pressure in Hypertensive Mice
Reprogramming occurs in the early embryo, a conversion of adult germ cells into embryonic stem cells mediated by expression of the Yamanaka factors - canonically Oct3/4, Sox2, Klf4, and c-Myc. This is accompanied by a reset of age-related changes in gene expression, and a clearing out of cell...
