This sounds like an American problem to me. I've barely encountered this problem here in Canada and I'm a black African living in Canada who dates mainly white girls because majority of women here are white. If anything the women I've dated are quick to introduce me to friends and family and I'm more hesitant. Maybe it's because African immigrants are known to be educated/high class or it's a looks thing, if she feels you're that good looking she'd want to show you off.
