Thread song:
In this thread I’ll be going over makeup and how to use it properly and how to make it look natural and what makeup to use.
Interestingly enough Makeup was first invented by the Egyptians back in 6000 BCE and was used by men and women to appeal to the gods they worshiped, not very necessary to the thread but found interesting to include on its lore.
Now I want to go over the ingredients that come in makeup, as a lot of them are not good for your skin .
The skin yes is your body’s largest organ and what you put on it matters, a lot of common ingredients you will see in makeup products are
. Talcum powder
. Artificial fragrance
. Phthalates
. Petroleum
. BHT
. Parabens
I listed a few but not only can these common makeup ingredients mess with your hormones they can clog pores and irritate skin leading to acne.
Now what you buy doesn’t have to be perfect but avoiding a lot of these will be beneficial in the long run.
Now the fun part going over painting your face!
. Eyebrow pencils
I’ve used multiple types and all go over all of them
. standard brow pencil, 6/10.
they are pretty cheap and simple to use coming with a comb on the other side to blend the drawn brows with your hairs, but it really does look drawn on and fake, still alright if you are lazy and don’t want to spend too much money since they are like 3 dollars on Amazon
. Microblade eyebrow pen, 4/10.
Now this is supposed to be marketed to give your brows a natural microblade like affect as seen in this picture below
it’s bullshit, it’s just a regular brow pencil that’s split into 4 and doesn’t even do what it’s marketed on doing, sort of waste of money But it still works on painting them.
. Fine tip point eyebrow pencil, 9/10.
this pen works by actually creating hair like strokes on your brows going one by one making it look so natural it’s insane, here’s some Spanish dude demonstrating how it works.
Now he uses one by the brand nyx but the ingredients are low quality so I recommend the anastasia Beverly Hills one it’s more expensive but trust better quality ingredients it’s worth it.
. Mascara for lashes
Ive used two I’ll go over both
. Black mascara by neutrogena, 8/10.
works very well by using the wand slightly stroking up for the appearance of longer lashes, doesn’t clump a lot and ingredients are pretty clean the only reason this isn’t higher is cause the next one I use has way better ingredients.
. Organic Mascara By Physicians Formula, 9/10
It’s really works the same as the neutrogena mascara but the ingredients are really good and simple and just better.
I use this with a very small wand like this one and paint every eyelash hair top and bottom individually.
. Blush, Rosy cheeks and red pink undertones.
. L’Oréal Paris liquid blush, 3/10.
shit ingredients shit quality and when applied has some sort of glitter looks giga gay.
. Burts bees tinten lip balm used as blush, 11/10!!!!!
this stuff is fucking amazing as it’s used as a lip balm to give them more color and doubles as a blush just apply a little to ur cheeks and blend until desired, and the ingredients are very clean with coconut oil, argan oil, real beeswax it works almost as moisturizer sort of.
. Honey bee gardens lip liner, 9/10.
for my thin lips cels YOU NEED THIS ASAP, used to fraud bigger lips and a more defined Cupid bow, the one i put has clean ingredients a lot of lip liners have artificial colors which is obviously shit, this guy demonstrates how to use it here.
. Purobio Eyeliner waterline pencil, 8/10.
People like clavicular have used this at clubs party’s to make there eyes way brighter and striking and I can confirm this works, use a little bit at the waterline, of course the one I use is organic with clean ingredients coconut oil vitamin E etc.
. Physicians Formula organic contouring stick, 8/10.
this stuff frauds bones really well, i only use it on my jawline but it can be used for cheek bones nose etc, here’s someone demonstrating how to use it.
. Concealers and BB creams
. WOAK concealer pen, 7/10.
So this does well against acne scars and eyebags, only problem is that if u use too much it’s obvious you have some shit on your face and it looks powdery.
. Australian gold BB cream SPF 50, 9/10.
BB cream and mineral sunscreen in one, covers blemishes well and looks natural blending into your skin very nicely, protects skin against the sun so for anti aging this is a must, only issue is that it can be hard to wash off with just water so use a face cleanser.
. its all about looking natural
When it comes to makeup you want to be subtle and make it look natural so you don’t end up looking like this
We want to aim for something more like this here
. Suggestions
Before you experiment with makeup I recommend you are fully softmaxxed, getting lean and all that good stuff.
And that’s it, I’ve covered everything important and my tips/advice over makeup, I hope you have found this thread helpful and beneficial for your Looksmax journey!
Let me know if you have any other questions
