So much conflicting arguments out there whether deadlifts actually stunt growth due to the compression of the spine

The deadlift is literally one of the most important compound movements for gymcels but I'm not trying to be a manlet.

The fuck do i do

What's your age?

Don't do it. There is no evidence backing it up and it's considered a myth but I would stay away from the exercise, it can seriously fuck you up and you don't want to mess around.

just trust us on this one

What is so special about deadlifts?

There are a ton of other exercises which are very nice and convenient.

You look like someone who knows his shit when doing it.

Nothing more than validation seeking. NEXT

no but deads aren't necressary.

As long as you don’t injure yourself they won’t stunt growth

Any other exercises that are on par with it? I've done deadlifts a few times and it legit hit all the back muscles differently, my posture improved from being an incel hunch

It doesn't. I made this exact comment before. It does not cause any more estrogen release that could close your growth plates. It could cause you to get shorter by a few mm for a bit due to compressing your spine, but sitting upside down does the exact opposite, and it obviously is not permanent.

There is absolutely no evidence for the other side that I can think of, just bro science.
