Does the time you go to sleep affect you at all?

People say that at 12 or whatever is when you get the most gh. Is this true it doesn't matter what time I go to sleep as long as it's 9+ hours? I go to sleep at 12 and wake up at 9:30, for instance. Is this bad?

Tbh for me it doesn’t matter as long as I get 7+ hours of sleep

As long as your getting good amounts of sleep I don't think it matters too much, however we are daytime creatures so sleeping through the night is ideal for our bodies.

I dont care about how it feels personally, I was wondering about growth honestly, might be a stupid question but It still makes me curious

going to bed at 10-12 is ideal for circadian rythem. the overall output of gh is more determined by the amount of time you get asleep but you’re already getting 9 hours so your sleep schedule is already ideal.

Your nocturnal GH pulse is mediated by your body's circadian rhythm and your sleep timing. It doesn't pulse independent of when you go to sleep.
 
Circadian rhythm is still important for quality of sleep and natural melatonin levels
