cysteine itself can contribute to the production of pheomelanin (the reddish-yellow pigment), regardless of glutathione levels so im not essentially basing it on glutathione production

nac is also a sulfur based compound.
also dosage is very flexible u can take 10000mg and be perfectly fine so just experiment
