" initially asked if I could get 1cm+ reduction in my midface, not knowing the technical details of the surgery and only reading about it online. The nasal cavity will always be somewhat of a limiting factor, but I think they can currently shorten the midface more than they usually do rn.

You can't just move upper jaw up without moving part of the nose up as well. You will end up with 1 philtrum assuming your lips will follow the jaw upwards. Also, even if somehow you push nose to go up (try lifting the back of your nostrils up and try breathing), you woudnt be able to breath. People who have longer noses TEND to have longer nasal bone. If they could cut there and remove apart, thay would actually do something. Otherwise, a ccw lefort 2

His hair colour is different as well. And there is a second, fainter mole in the middle of his cheek in the after photo that you can't see in the before. There's not really any anchor points of similarity you can compare between the pictures because not only is the ear covered but so is the forehead. And we'd expect the chin, nose and jaw to change so we can't use those as a point of reference. Interesting.

Think of it as bimax but for the lateral growth instead of forward. It significantly enhanced my midface ratio, shortening the perceived length, aided by the supraorbital dropdown applied to the implant design, which shortened my nose and lowered my eyebrows.

The procedure was a complete success, confirmed by post-op CT scans. It involved a manageable recovery, probably comparable to that of bimax. I had minimal pain but a lot of swelling in the initial week. Double vision (expected due to IPD adjustment) was fully resolved within a month. I spent a week in the hospital for extended IV antibiotics, minimizing infection risks. The only lingering complication is minor strabismus, which I plan to correct surgically soon.

It was about 30k usd including everything (Design, titanium implant manufacturing, surgery, hospital stay etc.)

Next up is bimax, genio and jaw angle implants. But, I’m also planning on getting a few soft tissue adjustments and potentially limb lengthening in the future.

Yes, the surgery was quite long by itself, it would be too dangerous to combine the two.
