Is Alar Base Reduction an effective procedure?

I have heard just in general, surgeries involving the nose can go haywire real quickly. But since this is not actually changing the shape of the tip, shouldn’t this be alright? This is merely reducing the horizontal flaring of nostrils

I have large nostrils but I can't reduce them cuz I wouldn't breath anymore. If you tighten ur nostrils with the fingers, can u breath?

I want to get this surgery, my nostrils flare so damn much and im white so I can't use the ethnic excuse.

Where have you heard about this surgery going haywire very easily?
