LASIK eye surgery worth it?

My glasses make me look nerdy and meek. I was feeling pretty confident about getting the surgery (haven’t booked the consult yet) until I started reading /r/lasik, which there are sadly a lot of horror stories. I have slight myopia. I’ll list the pros and cons of what I know now

Pros of getting lasik:

* I will never be able to slay if I’m wearing glasses. I’d say it deducts me 0.5 to 1 in psl rating, hence the surgery will increase me by 0.5-1 as I wear glasses in public - this is huge

* It’s a relatively simple and frequently performed surgery. Severe complication is supposedly below 1%

* the cost associated isn’t too much of an issue

Cons of getting lasik:

* I stare my computer for an average of 5-8 hours a day when I’m not in school. Dry eyes is a common side and could happen frequently because of this high screen usage

* I’m 18 - could there be a chance it regresses as I develop and I need glasses again in 5 years?

* how frequently would I need to use eye drops? If the dry eye side never went away and I had to use eye drops daily for the rest of my life that’d be annoying as fuck

* chance of severe sides such as floaters/light sensitivity ruining my life

I have tried getting them in on 3 different occasions (each was a year apart) and couldn’t do it. Tried exercises, watched guides and just couldn’t get them in. My blink reflex is too strong or some shit idk

LASIK should be your end of the line, scraping the barrel, broken arrow decision if trying to heal your eyesight doesn’t work. As you said, there are many people who have been permanently cucked by lasik and will have fucked up vision till the day they die. I would rather wear glasses...

LASIK will cost more upfront while contacts will cost more overtime. LASIK can be up to 1,500 - 2,500 per eye while contacts can cost up to 200-300 a year. It’s really up to the person if they want to take the risks with LASIK

So I have a question for those of you who have done LASIK. What are the requirements for it? Isn't it something that your vision has to be steady for a period of time spanning years? If not, won't your vision just gradually decrease as times go by? So I changed my glasses after wearing them for 3-4 years. It was like a completely new world.
